J. Kevin Belville M.D.
Kevin Belville, M.D., is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who joined the staff of Florida Eye Institute in March of 2021. A native of Valentine, Nebraska, he graduated from University of Nebraska and University of Nebraska Medical School. He interned in Internal Medicine at an affiliate hospital of the New Jersey School of Medicine, and completed his residency in ophthalmology as Chief Resident at Cornell Medical Center at the New York-Presbyterian Columbia University Hospital in New York City. Then he moved to Washington, D.C., and after 12 years, moved to Los Angeles where he practiced at Kaiser-Permanente, one of the largest healthcare organizations, as Chief of the Department and then Director of the LASIK program.
After his residency, Dr. Belville studied internationally aboard ORBIS, a worldwide teaching flying eye hospital, and has been honored by the United Nations for his work overseas on ORBIS. He also became a consultant ophthalmologist for the United States Air Force Academy Hospital.
He continues to be an Associate Clinical Professor at UCLA to share his surgical expertise with residents, and he has not only lectured internationally, but also has two published textbooks on Presbyopia surgery and LASIK.
Living in Florida with his wife and six children, he enjoys attending the theater, concerts, museums, skiing, boating and playing tennis.
